Nina and Diane Warren - A Perfect Combination
By Warner Music Philippines
A slew of multi-platinum albums, a multitude of awards and recognition from her peers - all of this and more sum Nina's career throughout the years. As much as one might think this is already enough to rest one's laurels on, the Soul Siren herself admits, she still has much to offer and hopes that fans will continue supporting her in the coming decades.
"I still have much to fulfill... greater dreams, bigger aspirations....I owe it to my fans. They had been supportive all these times... showering me with love and unbridled affection... I am eternally grateful. It is because of them that I will continue doing my best, as a singer, as an artist...it is because of them that I continue dreaming and reaching for the stars." This is exactly how the singer feels about her new opus, "Nina Sings The Hits Of Diane Warren" under Warner Music Philippines.
"This album is a gift to my fans. I feel so honored and privileged to team up with Ms. Diane Warren in this project," says Nina. Her love for the gifted songwriter was first made palpable when she recorded, "I Don't Want To Be Your Friend," in 2004 for the compilation Diane Warren Presents: Love Songs. The song stayed at the number one spot for two months. Another Warren composition, "I Love You Goodbye" released as the fourth and final single of the Nina Live! Album, also made it to the higher echelon of the local charts.
"Fans had been requesting that I release a full album of Diane Warren songs for as long as I could remember... so here it is, from me to you, with love." The long wait is over with the release of an all Diane Warren hits interpreted by the Soul Siren.
For Nina, the latest outing would be her most memorable work because not all singers are given by a world famous songwriter like Diane Warren to record their compositions in one album.
The tracklist includes:
"I Don't Want To Miss A Thing," (Aerosmith),
"Because You Loved Me," (Celine Dion) ,
"Un-Break My Heart (Tom Braxton),
"I Turn To You" (Christina Aguilera),
"How Do I Live" (Trisha Yearwood),
"There You'll Be (Faith Hill),
"Blue Eyes Blue" (Eric Clapton),
"I Could Not Ask For More" (Edwin McCain),
"When I See You Smile" (Bad English),
"I'll never get over you (getting over Me)" (Expose),
"Have You Ever" (Brandy),
"How can We be lovers" (Michael Bolton),
"Saving forever for You" (Shanice),
"Love Will Lead You Back," (Taylor Dane),
& "I don't wanna be your friend".
